Mildew, Moss, Algae & Weeds...
Cleaning your pavers can extend both the life and beauty of your hard surface.
The most common culprit for spoiling your paved area is black or green mildew. The most inexpensive way to remove the buildup of mildew, moss and dirt is by pressure washing. Our surface or rotary cleaner is the only effective means of pavers cleaning as its circular action provides a uniform and consistent clean. Surface cleaners also reduce the risk of removing all the sand from your joints as the nozzles spray at an angle! This can not be said for service providers who simply utilise a pressure cleaner gun or wand leaving you with loose pavers!
Considering hiring a pressure cleaner without professional equipment? Then be prepared to re-sand!
Fight The War On Grime, One Paver At A Time!
Once employed to clean pavers, it surprises most clients that high pressure water isn't actually performed until the very last stage in the rejuvenating process. While pressure washing pavers may produce acceptable results to some, we feel to restore pavers as close as possible to their original state, other steps should precede the actual pressure clean.
Our steps for pavers restoration are:
- Sweep or wash away all loose surface debris
- Apply custom detergent necessary for the breakdown of most mould, mildew, moss etc.
- Physically scrub your surface necessary for detergents to penetrate deep into your pavers.
- High pressure clean your surface.
Clay pavers, granite pavers, concrete pavers, natural stone pavers all require a unique approach and need to be cleaned differently! As an example, some common detergents or chemical solutions may bee too destructive for natural stone. Other cleaners which contain acids may discolour some pavers!
Pavers are susceptible to efflorescence and white scum. Efflorescence is the chalky white substance that builds up on some surfaces over time. It generally occurs by water carrying natural salts evaporating to the surface.
Driveway pavers experience wear and tear as a result of regular traffic driving over them and should be cleaned regularly!
